Details

Our Student Readers offer you accurate world history from a biblical worldview; our accompanying Companion Guides (in digital format*) offer you modern history curriculum for all ages that includes:

  • Pretests
  • Activities for Younger, Middle, and Older Students
  • Review work (Memory Cards, timeline prompts, mapping exercises, quizzes, etc)
  • Literature lists and more

*We don’t have a paper version of our Volume IV Companion Guide yet. It is in the making and we hope to have it available some time in October of November of the 24-25 school year. We suggest you start with the digital guide, printing only what you desire, and adding the paper at a later date for your convenience.

FAQ
  • Yes. While we feel the Student Reader is a nice visual addition, some families will work through Volume IV by audiobook only. In that case, the Companion Guide will offer those families a wide assortment of curriculum to enhance their studies. In rare instances, some assignments in the Companion Guide, and mapping exercises, will be easier with a Student Reader in hand, but these can be skipped without diminishing the overall value of the Companion Guide.

  • We understand that files can be lost. With a proof of purchase, we’re happy to send you replacement files at no charge. Email info@themysteryofhistory.com

  • Not yet, but a paper version of our Volume IV Companion Guide is in the works. We project a release in early fall for the 2024-2025 school year.

  • TROUBLESHOOTING TIPS for PDFs:

If you are asked for a password to open one of our PDFs, your computer is probably trying to open the PDF with something other than Adobe Reader. (You don’t need a password for our files!) To avoid this issue, download the most current version of Adobe Reader (https://get.adobe.com/reader) also called “Acrobat Reader.” (We suggest the “free” version; there’s no need for the pro version to operate our files.) Once installed, open the PDF file from within Adobe Reader. If you are asked if you want Adobe Reader to be your default PDF viewer, we recommend you say “yes.”

If your files appear incomplete, follow the steps above to make sure you open them in Adobe Reader (not “Preview” on a MAC.) Large files and collections of files may require you to click on one of the buttons on the home screen to select the page you need.

You can find more help for Acrobat Reader on Adobe’s website here:
