In the historical play, Julius Caesar, William Shakespeare made famous the phrase, “Beware the Ides of March.” Perhaps you’ve heard it but not known the full story starting on March 15 that eclipsed the death of the Roman Republic—and the birth of the Roman Empire. And perhaps the connection of this event to biblical history is vague!
