About Course

Some of you need help with world history for students 13 years and up—especially if you’re counting credits for high school!

Of course, you can’t hire me to drive to your home and teach. But through the marvel of technology, I can come to your home via video lectures to give new homeschool students or veteran homeschool students experience with online learning, as well as:
  1. additional insights to Modern History (think of  the French Revolution and the rise of North Korea)
  2. new outlines for the tough topics (think of the Holocaust and the War in Vietnam)
  3. and biblical truths to help students grow in faith and maturity (think of me presenting the Gospel when appropriate and sharing my personal testimony of growing in the Lord.)

Materials Needed:

  1. The Mystery of History Volume IV (Student Reader and digital Companion Guide in its Second Edition*)
  2. Rand McNally’s “Historical Atlas of the World”
  3. Rand McNally’s “World Atlas—Know Geography”
  4. Optional: 4-8 time period classics for enrichment

 

*Let me clarify a common point of confusion. The Mystery of History Vol IV (hardback Student Reader) is in its First Edition. However, as of 2024, the Companion Guide is in its Second Edition with some lovely upgrades. This course follows the Second Edition Companion Guide (digital or paper.) If you need a digital upgrade from the First to the Second Edition, let us know!
