Activity 39D—Armor of God. I find it difficult to ignore the spiritual warfare described by John Knox. What does the Bible say about combating spiritual warfare? In Ephesians 6:10–18, we’re told to put on the full armor of God! Let’s diagram this concept—using a piece of foil to remind us of armor!
Materials: Bible, foil, Sharpie, clear plastic sleeve
-
Turn to Ephesians 6:14–17 to identify six pieces of spiritual armor and their corrsponding
attributes of faith (e.g., belt: truth).
-
Tear a sheet of foil just a little smaller than a piece of notebook paper.
-
Use a Sharpie to diagram a soldier with the pieces of armor from the passage. (This can be very simple!)
-
Identify each piece of armor by its matching attribute of faith. This activity is simple, but I hope it helps you remember the armor of God!
-
Slide the diagram into a clear plastic sleeve to store in your Student Notebook under “Miscellaneous.”
Literature (15-30 min):
You have two weeks left in this quarter to still choose an outside book to enrich your studies. It’s not too late to choose a short one! (Page numbers are provided.)
